A note to the readers of Indonesia Intelligencer
A note to the readers of Indonesia Intelligencer
We sincerely hope that you have all enjoyed the first five editions of Indonesia Intelligencer, our weekly digest on all the most essential political, business and cultural news from the archipelago (if you missed any of our previous newsletter, you can check them all out for free here).
This e-mail is to let you know that this Friday, we will be sending out the first edition of Indonesia Intelligencer that will ONLY go out to paid members. To make sure you get it, subscribe now for US$7/month or US$70/year.
We’ve already gotten quite a few members, which we are extremely grateful for, but we believe that’s because Indonesia Intelligencer fulfills a serious gap in the market for people who want a comprehensive overview of all of the news coming out of this enormous and ever-evolving nation.
Indonesia Intelligencer was born out of feedback from numerous Coconuts readers who bemoaned the dearth of English language news updates about what’s happening across the archipelago. And with 260 million people dispersed across 17,000 islands spanning 3,000 miles from east to west across the equator, there is always a lot happening here.
It is our sincere hope that this newsletter will prove a worthwhile investment for academics, policymakers, business people and everybody inside and outside of Indonesia who has a vested interest in this country’s fate and wants to stay on top of the latest news without devoting endless hours searching and sifting through the many disparate media outlets that irregularly cover the archipelago – that’s what we’re here to do.
We will continue to occasionally send out free editions of Indonesia Intelligencer in order to attract new subscribers, but those will be few and far between. So if you find this newsletter useful, we hope that you will consider becoming a member today.
Thanks once again to all of you who have already subscribed and supported this project. We will continue to work our hardest to make sure Indonesia Intelligencer always brings you all the news you need to know and is worthy of your hard-earned dollars (or rupiah). See you again this Friday!
